Argentine justice has confirmed the prosecution of former Racing Club president Víctor Blanco in the case investigating alleged irregularities within the Argentine Football Association (AFA) for the improper retention of contributions and taxes. The decision was signed by Judge Diego Amarante, who also ordered the seizure of the executive's assets for an amount of $150 million. According to the case, his role included signing balance sheets that recorded tax debts, which led to his direct involvement in the reported incidents. The investigation, launched by the Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA) according to Argentine News Agency, alleges that the AFA failed to deposit tax withholdings and social security contributions totaling over $19.350 billion between March 2024 and September 2025. According to the evidence presented, the organization had sufficient funds to meet these obligations, which aggravated the judicial situation of those implicated. In this context, Blanco's prosecution falls under the figure of multiple independent facts in a real contest, which increases the severity of the charge. Furthermore, like other accused individuals, he must set his place of residence and comply with restrictions while the case proceeds.
